✈️Experience Lake Eyre in 2026 🚙
Lake Eyre in 2026 promises to be one of the most unforgettable seasons yet.
With water expected in the lake and bird life returning in abundance, the outback will be at its most vibrant.
Our touring season runs from May to October, with options to suit every schedule.
2-Day Fly Tour
For those who are short on time but don’t want to miss a moment of the action. With 4 passengers per departure, you’ll travel in a small, personal group where everyone is guaranteed a window seat. From the air you’ll take in sweeping views of the lake, while on the ground you’ll touch down in remote towns that capture the spirit of the outback.
Departures are on Saturdays. $4,350 per person
Day One
On arrival at Olympic Dam at 8.00am, you’ll have a short break to stretch your legs before boarding with Wrights Air. Departing Olympic Dam, you’ll fly up towards Lake Eyre, doing a quick circle over the mysterious Marree Man, over Lake Eyre, and then following the Warburton River, before it spreads out into the spectacular Goyders Lagoon, and then onto Birdsville for lunch and a look around town. Back in the plane, where you will see Pelicans galore over the Coongie Lakes, then landing at Innamincka for a well deserved rest at your 1st night accommodation.
Day Two
Innamincka to William Creek
You’ll wake up to an outback sunrise and a hearty breakfast in Innamincka. You’ll board your plane for a short flight out to The Famous “Dig Tree”, and learn of the ill fate of Burke and Wills.
Continue with a low-level flight along Cooper Creek, past the Birdsville Track punt crossing. Then soar once more over Lake Eyre’s dramatic salt plains.
Stop in William Creek for a late lunch, and then take in the breathtaking colours of the Painted Hills from the air.
Fly on to Olympic Dam and return to Adelaide by evening.
