3-Day Fly Tour

For those who are short on time but don’t want to miss a moment of the action. With 4 passengers per departure, you’ll travel in a small, personal group where everyone is guaranteed a window seat. From the air you’ll take in sweeping views of the lake, while on the ground you’ll touch down in remote towns that capture the spirit of the outback

Departures are on Mondays. $4,950 per person

Day One

On arrival at Olympic Dam at 8.00am, we’ll have a short break to stretch our legs before boarding with Wrights Air.  Departing Olympic Dam, you’ll fly up towards Lake Eyre, doing a quick circle over the mysterious Marree Man, over Lake Eyre, and then following the Warburton river, before it spreads out into the Spectacular Goyders Lagoon, and then onto Birdsville for lunch and a look around town. Back in the plane, where you will see Pelicans galore over the Coongie Lakes, then landing at Innamincka for a well deserved rest at your 1st night accommodation.

Day Two

Innamincka to William Creek

You’ll wake up to an outback sunrise and a hearty breakfast in Innamincka. We’ll board our Plane for a short flight out to The Famous “Dig Tree”, where we land and learn of the ill fate of Burke and Wills.

** Please note, unfortunately the Airstrip is still underwater at the Dig Tree**

We then fly along the flooded Cooper’s Creek, over the Punt, which is in operation to get cars from one side of the Birsdville Track to the other side. Back over Lake Eyre, for one last look, then Landing at William creek for Lunch.

In the afternoon, fly over the Beautiful Desert Colour’s of the Painted Hills.

Day Three

William Creek to Adelaide

Wake up early at William creek, which is on the worlds largest cattle station, Anna Creek Station, and straight into the Plane, where we fly to Coober Pedy, and see all the white mounds of dirt from the Opal mines. Into Coober Pedy for Breakfast, and then explore the Underground World of Coober Pedy, Umoona mines, The underground Catholic Church, and you are driven to the airport, where we depart on a 2hr Rex Airlines flight at 1pm back to Adelaide.
