Day One

Adelaide to Wilpena Pound

Collecting you from your accommodation around 6.30 am, we’ll journey north, via the Clare Valley Wine Region, where we will pull in for a mid-morning coffee break. Along the way we will make some short stops to see the Silo Art and notable lookouts. We will arrive in Quorn for lunch, before hitting the road again, travelling to Hawker to visit the Jeff Morgan Gallery where you can see his panoramas of Wilpena Pound and Arkaroola. Finally we will pull into Wilpena Pound for our first nights’ accommodation.

Day Two

Wilpena Pound to Marree

Following breakfast, we will travel through the spectacular Flinders Ranges. We will stop for a coffee break at the Quandong Café before making our way to Lyndhurst where we will meet with outback identity Talc Alf and spend some time admiring the beautiful colours of the Ochre Pits. A short drive will see us at the old railway town of Farina and its famous historic underground pop-up bakery. After a wonderful morning, we head to Marree, the home of the Old Ghan, where we will hit the skies for our birds eye view of the impressive Lake Eyre and the mysterious Marree Man. After your flight, enjoy a well deserved drink and dinner at the Marree Hotel.

Day Three

Marree to Coober Pedy

After breakfast ‘Marree style’, we will travel along the famous Oodnadatta Track and past Lake Eyre where you will get a chance to view it from ground level. We will follow the Old Ghan Railway Line towards William Creek, which is located on the largest cattle station in the world, Anna Creek Station. Here, we will stop for lunch at the iconic William Creek Hotel. After lunch we will travel to the opal capital of the world, Coober Pedy, where we’ll do some sightseeing, explore the fascinating township and have an opportunity to buy some magnificent precious opals.

Day Four

Coober Pedy to Adelaide

For those who do not want to do the big drive back to Adelaide, you can have a sleep in and fly from Coober Pedy to Adelaide. For the others, we' will do the big drive down the Stuart Highway, with a stop off at the Woomera Rocket Range, before our adventure concludes in Adelaide in the evening.
